As the trainer for Furry Tail Training, I understand the importance of a well-behaved dog, and your desire to have your dog accepted in society. Looking for puppy training for your new family member? Or need to set the rules and a firm foundation for your new fur baby? Furry Tail Training offers dog training classes for dogs of all breeds and all ages. A strong behavioral foundation is key for any dog to succeed in day-to-day life challenges that may lie ahead. In my dog training classes, your dog will learn basic obedience cues that will build your dog's confidence wherever you may take him and in stressful situations such as vet visits, grooming, and meeting new people. Proper training and socialization skills reduce the possibility of injuries, bites, or re-homing a dog.
Furry Tail Training is a basic obedience dog training program utilizing positive reinforcement techniques. This type of training creates a dog whose primary motivation is based on earning rewards, as opposed to avoiding punishment. The goal is to teach you to look at your dog as an individual and use whatever your dog likes, to reward him whenever he does a desired behavior. This is a fun way to motivate both you and your dog without causing any unnecessary stress or frustration.
I believe the smoothest, long-lasting path to having a well-rounded dog is to maintain leadership. I don't just help my clients maintain leadership, but understand how it works and why it is important. Leadership is not just about your dog listening to you, but you also listening to your dog. To do this, you will need to learn how to speak "Dog". Dogs communicate by body language and I will help you learn how to read your dog.
A variety of programs are offered: group classes, private lessons at home and in the park, online courses, and lecture classes. Learning basic obedience is an important foundation for your dog's future. In these classes, I help you teach your dog how to handle basic life situations by using basic obedience cues. Once you have signed up for any dog training class, you are invited to join Furry Tail Training's Students and Graduates Facebook group. Filled with training tips, videos, blogs, and so much more. You can start your training journey before your first day of class and continue to receive useful tips, advice and support beyond your dog's graduation. In select courses, I also help familiarize your pet with tools such as toothbrushes, nail trimmers, and ear wipes to help reduce your dog's fear, stress, and anxiety at the groomers and vets office. After completing a course, you will receive a complimentary graduation photo of your dog and a follow-up on your training progress. In addition to these basic commands, I will provide solutions to common everyday problems such as digging, barking, counter-surfing, and more. And of course, what is a better way to bond with your dog than with games and fun tricks to show off to family and friends?

How Does it work?
Furry Tail Training requires a consultation before the first day of class. This is so you can get to know the trainer and the trainer can learn what your training needs are for your furry friend. You will need to bring your dog. Available classes and times will be discussed at your consultation (Please visit Group Classes for the next available date). If you are interested in Group Classes or Private Lessons at the park, your consultation and classes will be held at Canyon Hills Community Park in Lake Elsinore. If you are interested in In-Home Private Lessons, Consultations will be in your home. Please visit my Dog Training Classes page to find which class best fits you and your pet's needs.
